Precious the Peacock is a Very nice Short Story in that it helps teach a child good safety habits while being entertaining.It is a good short bedtime story (A ten minute read) and is the sort of thing that can be read repeatedly without becoming a laborious thing.
The illustrations are very colorful, so a color device will be able to show the book at its best presentation.
NOTE: this is a Children's story NOT High Drama! And as such it does a very good job!

I love a book that teaches my children something while we read! This book has great illustrations and the moral of the story is clear. Every child will probably experience being lost at some point, and this book does a great job of helping them understand what to do in that situation. Great book!
All though the moral of the story was good, the story itself was just okay. I felt like there could have been a little more to it, it was pretty anticlimactic.
Yes, stay where you are is the answer. And they made it. And you made it easy for kids to remember this important lesson. Cute. A must for those kids who tend to stray away.
This story is for the young. The pictures are very bright and colorful, something that should keep a child "reading" right along with their parents or whoever is reading to them. Very nice (
I read this to my little guy in just a few minutes. He enjoyed looking at the pictures, and when asked what he learned he quoted the heart of the book by saying, "When you're lost, you just stay where you are and don't go all over the place." I call that success!
This book has good illustrations to keep your child entertained and a nice story that is not overly complex. I thought the author did a good job of making a point that children can get lost and offering easy advice on what to do if it happens. Overall, this was a short, sweet book kids will most likely enjoy.
This is a short and effective story for kids. I read it to my kids and they listened with great interest, and interacted to me with their thoughts. I could verify that they really learned an important lesson from it. It's a short, cute and to-the-point story. The illustrations are cute and pleasing. Me and my kids liked this book a lot.
